The Lily Pond
A firm favourite with our younger guests! With nets and buckets provided, kids can dip into the lily pond and discover a world of pondlife, from tadpoles and frogs to the occasional newt.

Keep your eyes peeled for our resident red squirrels. Reintroduced thanks to the Trees for Life programme, these delightful creatures are now frequently seen across the gardens—especially along the drive and near their feeding boxes.

In October, don’t miss our magical Fairy Trail. Follow the path to discover whimsical fairy dwellings and learn about trees through interactive reading material and enchanting displays.





The Midge Bite Cafe
After exploring the gardens, visitors can relax at The Midge Bite Café, located on-site. The café offers a selection of refreshments, including hot and cold drinks, light snacks, and homemade treats. It's an ideal spot to unwind and enjoy views of the surrounding landscape. Accessibility & Parking
We strive to accommodate visitors with varying mobility needs. The gardens feature gravel paths that are generally wheelchair-friendly; however, some areas may be uneven. Due to limited paved sections, wheelchair users are granted free admission. Additionally, there is limited disabled parking available near the house to facilitate easier access.
